DIRECTIONS
We are a 10 minute drive from Stowmarket.
You will find us by following Park Road through the village of Combs, which leads into Bildeston Road. As you drive through the village we are located at the beginning of Little Finborough on the left.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
We are a short taxi journey from Stowmarket train station.
Trains link from London, Norwich, Cambridge and Peterborough with various stations stopping in between.

Front Of House SupervisorBurnt House Vineyard is a family business in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, producing award winning still and sparkling wines. We operate a Cellar Door & Tasting Room which offers tours, drop in wine tastings and wine accompanied with a menu of local produce platters such as cheese and charcuterie to match our wines. We offer different food experiences and events throughout the year including pizza nights, picnics in the vines as well as our tours of the vineyard in the summer months. We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Front of House Team Supervisor to join our friendly and passionate team. Our Front of House Supervisor supports our business in providing our customers with knowledge, passion and an approachable attitude! Our tasting room is currently open Friday to Sunday, with additional mid week events. We are looking for a supervisor to join us for weekends and on occasion Friday evenings and some mid week events. This job role is a part-time position over Friday, Saturday and Sunday but may include additional hours in the summer months for events and extended opening times. About the Role: Act as the initial point of contact for Burnt House Vineyard welcoming customers to the tasting room. Delivering a smooth service to meet customer expectations. Manage both front of house and back of house. Monitoring stock management on internal systems and placing orders. Table service, bar service and general duties front of house duties. Barista coffee making (training provided). Assist with events and various activities throughout the year. Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally. Leading and motivating the team during shifts and provide support for management. Providing staff training. Creating staff rota's for the tasting room team. Be able to work as part of a team. Maintaining the venue, keeping it clean and tidy at all times, ensuring compliance with food and safety regulations and guidelines. Good time management and organisational skills. Complete end-of-night cashing up and reconciliation. Key holder for the venue to assist with opening and closing. Have a working knowledge of the vineyard and its history and the wine we produce (training provided). Part time hours/weekend work Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Daytime and Evening hours. Additional hours will be available during peak times and mid week events. Other reasonable duties may be required from time to time. All applicants must be over 18 to apply due to serving alcohol. About you: We are looking for someone who has enthusiasm for amazing customer service matched with a passion for wine and food with previous experience in a supervisor role within hospitality. As the first port of call for our customers we need somebody with strong and clear communication skills who has an understanding of great hospitality and an eagerness to learn about our Vineyard and the wines we produce as we expect all our employees to be ambassadors for our brand. We don’t expect people to be a wine connoisseur but an interest in wine is expected. A driving licence is advisable as we are in a rural location. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced supervisor responsible for daily operations opening and closing the tasting room. We are looking for a supervisor that has strong organisational skills, communication and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. What we offer: Training on the vineyard and wines will be provided alongside industry standard qualifications such as Food Hygiene Level 2 and food allergen training and first aid training.

Our tasting room is currently open Friday to Sunday, with additional mid week events. We are looking for team members to join us for weekends and on occasion Friday evenings. This job role is a part-time position but may include additional hours in the summer months for events and extended opening times. About the Role: We are recruiting both permanent and temporary seasonal Front of House team members. When applying please specify which role you are interested in joining us with. Additional hours available from time to time for our pop up events on Friday nights and mid week. Be able to work as part of a team and provide exceptional customer service. Kitchen preparation and service and maintaining a 5 star food hygiene rating. Other reasonable duties may be required from time to time. To be considered for this role you must be over 18 to serve alcohol. About you: We are looking for someone who has enthusiasm for amazing customer service matched with a passion for wine and food.
